We all know that Vitamin D is essential for healthy bone growth. Vitamin D is necessary for absorbtion of calcium and thus helps in mineralization of bones and helps prevent osteoporosis or helps in delaying its onset.
But we don't know much about Vitamin D and its relation with Diabetes.
A study published in the journal Diabetes Care showed that an increase in blood levels of vitamin D resulted in a reduction in diabetes risk.
Also pathologists in Melbourne, Australia, in their study found that people with the highest blood levels of vitamin D had a significantly reduced risk of developing type-2 diabetes compared to those with the lowest levels of
Vitamin D.
There are many such studies which prove the importance of correct blood levels* Vitamin D in delaying and controlling diabetes and other lifestyle diseases.
